Our aim is to promote research into the cause and cure of cancer, funding research by awarding grants to scientists working in our five centres of research excellence at the universities of Bradford, Hull, Leeds, Sheffield and York and their associated teaching hospitals.
As an independent charity we rely almost entirely on donations. Research is expensive. We only fund research of the highest quality, as reviewed by cancer experts around the world. Currently, we are only about to fund half of the top rated projects that apply for funding but we'd like to fund them all.
Unfortunately, just like John's story cancer can affect anyone regardless of age, gender, origin or religion at any time in their lives. Please help us in the fight against cancer by giving £2 a month. Your efforts really can make a difference.
